Teaching is such a fabulous profession, as it allows me the opportunity to see life from the perspective of the children that I serve. I appreciate and am inspired by their sense of wonder and by their eager curiosity. Seeing the joy of their discoveries, and being part of fostering and supporting them in their lifelong journey is one of my greatest passions.
Other passions in my life include my children, Joshua (14) and Jonathan (11), my partner, Tom, and our enormous golden retriever, Happy. We live in NE Portland and enjoy playing, baking, reading, connecting, and learning together. Joshua and Jonathan attend Trillium Charter School, and love to draw, drum, do parkour, and play guitar, bass, and videogames. Tom works as an engineer for Sekidenko and feels thrilled when he can play lacrosse or hang out with his sons, Adam (19) and Gabe (16).
When I’m not at school, I spend my time listening to a ridiculous amount of music, working out, playing lacrosse, baking, reading, journaling, planning, or communicating with my friends or family. Additionally, I do my fair share of laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and driving my children to their friends’ houses. Life is full, rich, and wonderful. I am truly blessed and love what I do.
